Victoria Police HQ

The Victoria Police Centre at 311 Spencer Street in Melbourne comprises a purpose built 39 storey office building and a 4 level basement for 600 cars. Positioned on the North West corner of the Hoddle City Grid, it offers wide ranging views of the city and the utmost security including a helipad, firing range and bullet resistant glass.

The A-grade commercial building boasts a 4.5 Star NABERS Energy and Water rating together with a 5 Star Green Star Office Design rating.

Heritage Glass completed the glazing works for the podium facade under the larger tower including custom designed and fabricated structural steel, aluminum, glazing, steel airlock portal and skylights. 

The glass units for the facade were 60mm thick weighing in at 900kgs a panel and met the stringent ballistic requirements.

The skylight utlises 17.52mm clear heat strengthened low iron laminated glass with a PVB interlayer and ceramic frit to the third side.
